Our annual Gingerbread House party is always so much fun! Here are the details and photos from this year.
Color Palette: I went with a neutral color palette. Classic gingerbread colors and pink.
Table Setting: A fun table with gingerbread-inspired plates, napkins, and cups from Bonjour Fete. (You can use my code: HOMEOFUANDME on their site for 10% off)
DIY Snow Globes: Gingerbread snow globes (DIY project details below). These are so cute on the table.
DIY Gingerbread Snow Globes
Creating a DIY gingerbread snow globe using items from Dollar Tree can be fun and budget-friendly. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you make your own:
Materials Needed:
Snow globes that I purchased fro the Dollar Tree
Miniature gingerbread people. ( I found these little cookies at Trader Joes)
Coconut Flakes (for snow effect)
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Ribbon for your bow
Instructions:
- Using some frosting as glue add your miniature gingerbread person to the inside of the lid.
- Make sure they are securely attached and positioned upright.
To Create the Snow effect I used coconut flakes.
- Add enough coconut flakes to create a snowbank around the gingerbread figure.
- Screw the lid on, making sure the contents stay in place.
Final Touch
Tie a bow and add a dot of hot glue to it then add it to the top of your snow globe.
Now you can use the items inside the snow globes at your gingerbread party. Such as a gingerbread person in front of your house and coconut flakes as snow on your roof.
Our gingerbread party tradition is more than just a chance to enjoy delicious treats—it’s an opportunity to make memories, share joy, and spread holiday cheer. Whether you go all out with games and decorations or keep it simple with house decorating and hot cocoa. Gather your ingredients, round up your friends and family, and let the gingerbread fun begin! 🎄🍪
