Cozying Up A Room for Fall: Simple Sheet Swaps and Decor Touches

As fall rolls in, I love to add cozy touches to the kids rooms. Here are some easy ways to change the sheets and add simple decor accents that will make their space feel warm and inviting!

1. Seasonal Sheet Swap

Start by changing out the bed sheets. Look for fun, fall-themed patterns—think leaves, pumpkins, or cozy plaids in warm colors. I found these sheets at Homegoods, HERE IS ANOTHER OPTION. Flannel sheets can also add an extra layer of warmth for those cooler nights!

2. Layered Blankets

Add a soft, textured blanket or a quilt at the foot of the bed. This not only adds warmth but also introduces more color and pattern. Consider options in rich jewel tones or playful fall prints to create a layered look.

3. Wall Art

Update wall decor with simple, fall-themed prints, DIY projects, or a cute CUSTOM "BOO" PENNANT BANNER. You can create a little gallery wall with framed artwork or add a framed picture on a dresser or nightstand.

4. FestivePillows

Add some seasonal pillows! I love pillows, in fact I have a slight addiction to cute pillows. Choose pillows in autumn colors or some festive ones like this black cat pillow that we got from Pottery Barn several years ago (unfortunately its no longer available). Mix and match shapes and sizes and when in a kids room make it fun. Here are another few cute pillow options,  BLACK CAT PILLOW, PUMPKIN PILLOW or THIS PUMPKIN PILLOW.

Decorating your child's room for fall doesn’t have to be complicated! With a few simple changes to the bedding and decor, you can create a cozy and inviting space that feels fun and festive. Happy decorating!
